In recent work I dye and sew silk organza sheets and shapes. I use natural dyes I primarily grow in my garden, forage on public land, and process myself. I am interested in creating the experience of fields. Fields of play, fields of flowers, fields of light and color that guide pollinators, that guide us as we move through space. The mathematical and vibrational fields that we are enmeshed within. My daughter’s multiplication chart. The relational fields of people connecting and learning from one another- an array of relations that exist not (just) top/down but in/out, spiraling, reciprocal.

I grow my own dye plants, forage them, and share them collectively with my natural dye group Chroma Collective, founded in 2023. Many of my natural dye artworks are made within this community gathering of friends, artists, curators, farmers, healers, educators, and children.
